Clarion is expanding its Owner’s Engineering platform across South-East Europe, supporting a growing pipeline of projects in wind, solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), alongside environmental infrastructure, advanced technologies and mineral resource developments.
We act as an independent technical authority, representing investors, lenders and project sponsors from early-stage concept through to commissioning and operation. Our work sits at the intersection of engineering, capital deployment and regulatory compliance, ensuring that complex energy and infrastructure assets are delivered on time, on budget and to bankable standards.
As project activity accelerates across Serbia, we are seeking Junior and Mid-Level Electrical Engineers to join our Owner’s Engineer team, supporting project management activities and site oversight on utility-scale renewable energy developments.
The Role
You will be embedded within multidisciplinary project teams delivering Owner’s Engineering services on active construction and development-stage assets. The role combines technical engineering review, project coordination and on-site supervision, providing exposure to the full lifecycle of renewable energy projects.
You will support:
- Technical due diligence and design review for wind, solar and BESS projects
- Project management (PM) activities, including schedule tracking, contractor coordination and reporting
- Site supervision and construction oversight, ensuring compliance with design, standards and contractual requirements
- Interface management between EPC contractors, OEMs, grid operators and investors
- Quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) processes aligned with lender and Owner’s Engineer requirements
- Commissioning support and energisation readiness, including documentation and test verification
- Grid connection and compliance monitoring, in coordination with TSOs and DSOs
Profiles We Are Seeking
Junior Electrical Engineers (0–3 years experience)
Ideal for candidates looking to enter the renewable energy sector with strong technical foundations and a willingness to work across both office and site environments.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Basic understanding of power systems, substations or renewable technologies
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel to project sites across Serbia and the region
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Mid-Level Electrical Engineers (3–7 years experience)
For engineers with relevant project exposure, capable of taking ownership of defined technical scopes and supporting senior engineers on complex assignments.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience in renewable energy, power systems, substations or industrial projects
- Familiarity with design documentation, grid connection requirements and commissioning processes
- Experience in site supervision, contractor coordination or QA/QC is highly valued
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings and test reports
- Strong communication skills for interaction with clients, contractors and stakeholders
